This is the online school! As we navigate the waters which we entered upon Baptism, we are in a relationship with God. But, sometimes we lose that connection and find ourselves outside the “net”. Jesus said, “Cast your nets! I will make you fishers of men!” Through the Father, our Creator; Jesus, our Savior; and the Holy Spirit, our guide, we are with God. This online course will invite each to search for God in the world around you. God can be found through prayer, scripture, liturgy, nature, friendships, and community. Now, let's go find God!
A few things to note:
1. What you put into the course is what you take with you. It is best to set aside some quiet time to focus on the material given, be prayerful as you move through each activity.
2. Every activity requires some response. Some are polls, some are short answers to questions which I keep track of, some questions require longer answers in the comment area and comment back. There is one of these in each section.
3. Answers all must be thoughtful.
4. Remember that when you comment you begin with your identity number, ie, #75: It is important to post comments with your secret identity number.
5. Activities include polls, movie clips, prayer, pdf files to read, cartoons, scripture references, and much more.
6. You do not have to do the activities all at once. You can do them over the first week. I will be checking all the responses during the second week, while you have time to work on your project.
7. If you want to work on the project with some one else in the class that you know is taking the course, you may.
8. The first blog session can probably be completed in about 90 minutes, but you can take your time and move through the activities at your own pace. It does not have to be done all at once. In fact, it shouldn't! The second one will probably be less.
9. Also, everyone will be completing a final project to bring to the last session, in which we meet as a group. Instructions will be given in the blog during the first session.
